A new IB publication called 50 Excellent Extended Essays is being published in March 2008. This CD-ROM will contain A-graded essays from around the world and will greatly help students in writing their own essays.

The following extended essays by graduates of UWCSEA in 2007 have been selected for inclusion on this CD-ROM:

  • In what way are the themes and style of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" by Tom Stoppard related to "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett?
-- English A2 extended essay by Gregor Schubert

  • To what extent are the school uniform providers at UWCSEA operating in a contestable market?
-- Economics extended essay by Mallika Sachdeva

  • When solutions of (+) - glucose and (-) - fructose are mixed, is there a relationship between the observed rotation of polarised light caused by this mixture and the concentration of the constituent monosaccharide solutions?
-- Chemistry extended essay by Adrian Swaine

  • To what extent was Francis Fukuyama's 'The End of History' premature?
-- Politics extended essay by Daire MacFadden

Go to the library and ask to read these highly commended A-grade essays.
